These photo,s have been taken during several treks in the area,Rupshu otherwise known as Changthang is the western most extension of the plateau of the same name that occupies a large part of Tibet. The most notable physical features are the beautiful high altitude lakes at around 4000mts. The area has almost no permanent villages but is populated by the changpa Nomads with their large herds of Yaks and flocks of Pashmina goats and sheep.Wide and mostly open with immense deep blue skies.It does feel to be the roof of the world.
